Kors 's father was Arij Willemsz Blokland and his mother was Maria Marigje Eliasd de Hek. His paternal grandparents were Willem Ariensz Blocklant and Barbertje Jansd van der Pijl; his maternal grandparents were Elias Leendertsz de Hek and Marichie Corsen (Maaycke) de Groot. He had four brothers and a sister, named Willem, Elias , Cornelis , Jan and Barber . He was the second youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Adriaan and Maria . He died at the age of 37 in 1753.
