Evelyn was born in 1889 in Chelsea, England.  Evelyn's father was Charles E LOCKWOOD and her mother was Lottie  COOMBS.  Her paternal grandparents were Jeremiah LOCKWOOD and Emily ARTIS.  She had three brothers and two sisters, named Frank, Ralph, Arthur, May  and Ada.  She was the oldest of the six children.
