Eliza was born in 1814 in Kewstoke, Somerset, England. Eliza's father was Elijah COURT and her mother was Jane.  She had four brothers and three sisters, named Jonas, Josias , James , Elijah, Betsy, Anna and Louisa.  She was the second oldest of the eight children.
