William was born in 1891.  William's father was Aaron CALVER and his mother was Ellen GAUDBY .  His paternal grandparents were Robert CALVER and Anna Maria.  He had six brothers and two sisters, named Frederick, Arthur, Robert, George, Walter, Ernest , Alice and Harriet.  He was the youngest of the nine children.
