John was born in 1532 in Holme On, Spalding Moor, Yorkshire, England.  John's father was James WATSON and his mother was Margaret SOTHERN.  His paternal grandparents were John WATSON and Mrs. Margaret WATSON. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named James, Henry, Thomas, Maria (Or Isabel), Marie Or Isabel, Marie Or Isabel, WATSON, Daughter, Unknown, Daughter and Miss.  He died at the age of 27 on March 15th, 1559 in Holme-On-, -Spaulding-Moor, Yorkshire, England.  His burial was on March 15th, 1558 in Holme-On-, -Spaulding-Moor, Yorkshire, England.
