John Joseph was born on April 4th, 1672 in Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts and his baptism took place in Gloucester, Essex, Ma.  John Joseph's father was Anthony DAY and his mother was Susan Or Susanna MATCHET.  His paternal grandfather is DEE; his maternal grandparents are Mr. MATCHETT and (Miss). He had nine brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Timothy, Anthony Or Timothy, John, Ezekiel, Ezekiel, Timothy, Nathaniel, Samuel and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 70 on June 14th, 1742 in Attleboro, Bristol, Massachusetts.  His burial was on June 17th, 1742 in Attleboro, Bristol, Ma.
