John was born in 1631 in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut and his baptism took place in 1624 in , Wethershire, Eng.  John's father was Adam Aaron BLAKEMAN and his mother was Jane WHEELER.  His paternal grandparents are Joseph (John) BLACKMAN and Mrs Thomasine BLACKMAN; his maternal grandfather is WHEELER. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named James, John, Deliverance, Benjamin, Samuel B., Deliverance, James, Thomas, Deliverance, Mary and Deliverence.  He died at the age of 31 on November 26th, 1662 in Of Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut.  His burial was in 1662 in Stratford, Fairfield.
