Katri=Triin was born in April 1825.  Katri=Triin's father was Ado Meema and her mother was Liis Meema.  Her paternal grandparents were Volmer and Mai; her maternal grandparents were Juhan Laane and Annika. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Märt, Jaan, Rein, Ado, Margareet, Ann and Kristin.  She was the fifth oldest of the eight children.
