Tiiu's father was Mats and her mother was Epp Mitt. Her paternal grandparents are Niklus and Ann; her maternal grandfather was Andres and her maternal grandmother is Mai. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Hindrik, Peeter, Lotta and Leenu. She died in 1820.
