Ell's father is Hans and her mother is Epp. Her paternal grandparents were Jaan and Katri; her maternal grandparents were Märt and Mai. She has a brother and two sisters, named Juhan, Mari and Ann. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Mihkel, Eva and Liis.
