István was born in 1720.1  István's father was László Vécsey and his mother was Borbála Sennyey.  His paternal grandparents were Sándor Vécsey and Mária Szelényi. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named Gábor, Zsigmond, József, Ferenc, János, Péter, Mihály, Anna and Mária.  He died at the age of 88 in 1808 in Sárköz Szatmár vm.
