János was born on January 5th, 1722 in Sopron.1   János' father was Mihály Thirring and his mother was Mária Zsuzsanna Kleinrath (Düringer).  His paternal grandparents were Mátyás Thirring and Mária Bauhofer. He had a brother named Mátyás.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 74 on July 3rd, 1796 in Sopron.1
