Rudolf's father was Ferenc Schödl and his mother was Izabelle Hepburn.  His paternal grandparents were Gáspár Schödl and Anna Gartler. He had a brother and a sister, named Viktor and Alexandra.  He was the youngest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Ferenc, Frigyes, Lipót, Johanna, Hermina and Stefánia.  He died at the age of 62 on August 1st, 1938 in Budapest VII. ker..²
