Dávid's father was István Asbóth and his mother was Lídia Boda.  His paternal grandparents were István Asbóth and Sára Bogár. He had two brothers and three sisters, named István, János, Lídia, Lídia and Lídia.  He was the youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 33 on February 28th, 1915 in Kocs Komárom vm.²
