John O'Donnell 
John was born in 1918 in Birchip, Victoria. John's father was Charles Joseph O'Donnell and his mother was Hylda Marea Sophia Australia Adelskold. His paternal grandparents were Andrew O'Donnell and Bridget (Kate) Catherine Connelly; his maternal grandparents were Claes Anders Adelskold and Anna Maria Svensson-Linde. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Gus, Cam, Baby Charles, Paul, Peter, Joan, Esta and Wendy. He died as a war casualty at the age of 24 on May 8th, 1942.1 Death Notes
Lost at sea off the coast of Africa when the British Merchant Navy ship SS Kanbe was torpedoed by the U-Boat U-123.
