John (George) George Groom

John, known as George, was born about 1874.  George's father was George Groom and his mother was Kezia (Lisa) Plumb.  His paternal grandparents were George Groom and Eleanor Turner; his maternal grandparents were John Plumb and Sarah Challis. He had two brothers and a sister, named Charles, Dan and Eleanor.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Harry, Albert and Victoria.
