Albert (Bert) Ernest Groom 
Albert, known as Bert, was born on May 18th, 1909 in Oxley Rd, Sherwood, QLD. Bert's father was Charles William Groom and his mother was Caroline Beatrice Walker. His paternal grandparents were George Groom and Kezia (Lisa) Plumb; his maternal grandparents were William Barnabas Walker and Fanny Frances Gates. He had a brother and five sisters, named Charlie, Beattie, Alice, Myra, Bobby and Fanny. He died at the age of 86 on September 25th, 1995 in St George Hosp, Kogarah.-
