Joseph Rutledge & Mary Paschal (Paschall)

Joseph and Mary were married. They had eight sons and two daughters, and also a child of unknown gender, named Littleberry, Thos, Joseph Jr., Robert, James, Blanks, J., Spencer, Nancy, Polly and Docus.

  Littleberry was born in 1785. He died at the age of 79 in November 1864.

    One of these, Little Berry Rutledge, we learned went up to Tahlequah District from AL by the fall of 1860, was in Civil War by late 1862. Died in conflict, was buried in Alton, IL Nov 1864. He was in a Cherokee Confederate unit, had been imprisoned in IL.
