Jan was born in 1932.  Jan's father was Tadeusz  Turalski and his mother was Maria z Gorczaków Turalska.  His paternal grandparents were Franciszek Turalski and Józefa z Celmerów. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Bogdan, Zbigniew, Maria, Krystyna, Daniela, Lidia, Lucyna, Jadwiga and Wies³awa.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died due to a medical problem in 1932.
