Maria was born on March 23rd, 1893.  Maria's father was Felippe Pohren and her mother was Susanna Finger.  Her paternal grandparents were João Pohren and Maria Schaefer; her maternal grandparents were Jacob (Thiago) Finger and Susanna Margarida Diebel. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Jacob, João, Henrique, Felippe, Pedro, Frederico, Maria, Catharina, Elisabeth, Anna and Maria.  She was the youngest of the twelve children.  She died at 11 months old on March 3rd, 1894.
