Catharina was born on September 6th, 1885.  Catharina's father was Christiano Müller and her mother was Magdalena Finger.  Her paternal grandparents were Christiano Müller and Catharina Kolling; her maternal grandparents were Balthasar Finger and Maria Margarida Volkweiss. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Jacob, Adão, Balthasar, Maria and Elvira.  She was the fourth oldest of the six children.
