Joseph was born on September 30th, 1895.  Joseph's father was Jan Siman and his mother was Anna Jerg.  His paternal grandparents were George Siman and Maria Roshan; his maternal grandparents are Joseph Jerg and Maria Kanos. He had a brother and two sisters, named Jan, Maria and Julianna.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 3 on May 3rd, 1899.
