Ignatius was born on September 15th, 1836.  Ignatius' father was Joseph Andrew Siman and his mother was Anna Polomscan.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Siman and Maria Sics; his maternal grandparents are Mathew Polomscan and <Unknown>. He had three brothers named Andrew, Joseph and Joseph.  He was the second oldest of the four children.
