Dumitru, known as Mitica, was born in 1884 in Padina and his christening took place there conducted by the priest.1 2   Mitica's father was Neculai Constantinescu and his mother was Ana Constantinescu.  His paternal grandparents were Stefan  Constantin and ?; his maternal grandparents were Mos Stoica and Nevasta lui Stoica. He had a brother named Bucur.  He was the older of the two children.  He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia at the age of 18 on March 7th, 1902 in Pogoanele.  The funeral took place in Padina.  His body was entombed in Pogoanele.3
