Ileana was born on May 16th, 1944 in Mizil and her christening took place there conducted by priest .¹ Her godfather was/is Costica Alexandrescu and her godmother was/is Eleonora(Norica) Alexandrescu. Ileana's father was Petre (Petrica) Constantinescu and her mother was Constanta (Tanti) Eleonora Popovici (Constantinescu). Her paternal grandparents were Bucur Constantinescu and Virginia Ionescu (Constantinescu). She had two brothers and a sister, named Constantinescu, Rel and Mariana. She is the third oldest of the four children.

- Ileana attended Universitatea "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" Iasi Facultatea de chimie pura in Iasi full time from 1962 at Invatamant superior level in chimie organica. She passed examinations in 1967 and achieved a pass. ²
