Simon was born in 1935 in Santa Barbara de Uchire, Anzotegui, Venezuela.  Simon's father was Antonio Ramón Marapacuto Peaspan and his mother is Mujer Parica.  His paternal grandparents are Andres Marapacuto and Maria de Jesus Peaspan. He had six half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Antonio Ramon, Ricardo Antonio, Simon Antonio, Angel Rafael, Raul Antonio, Carlos Antonio, Maria Aquitania, Dora del Carmen, Blanca Susana, Maria de Jesus and Rosa angelica.  He died at the age of 72 on July 20th, 2007.
