Sevastian Joseph was born on January 21st, 1683 in Azpeitia, Guipuzcoa, España.  Sevastian Joseph's father is Francisco Ignacio De Emparan y Eycaga and his mother is Catalina De Azcue y Zaulaíca.  His paternal grandfather was Ygnacio De Emparan y Sorarrain and his paternal grandmother is Ana Eycaga y Olano; his maternal grandparents are Joanes De Azcue Urbieta and Mariana De Zaulaíca Mendizaval. He had six brothers named Joseph Joachin, Ygnacio, Francisco Joseph, Joseph Antonio, Joseph Joachin Antonio and Antonio Joseph Leon.  He was the sixth oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Ygnacio, Teressa and Josepha.  He died at the age of 63 in 1746.
