Providencia was born on May 31st, 1912 in Valle Guanape.  Providencia's father was Heliodoro Abad and her mother was Delfina Armas Rojas.  Her paternal grandfather is Jose Felix Dominguez Armas and her paternal grandmother was Josefa Abad; her maternal grandparents are Erasmo Armas Ortiz and Jacinta Rojas. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Ramon Esteban, Adan Rafael, Efrain, Pablo Absalon, Alejandro, Eva, Caridad and Carmen Celestina.  She died at the age of 81 on December 24th, 1993.
