Adan Rafael was born on June 22nd, 1911 in Valle Guanape.  Adan Rafael's father was Heliodoro Abad and his mother was Delfina Armas Rojas.  His paternal grandfather is Jose Felix Dominguez Armas and his paternal grandmother was Josefa Abad; his maternal grandparents are Erasmo Armas Ortiz and Jacinta Rojas. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Ramon Esteban, Efrain, Pablo Absalon, Alejandro, Eva, Providencia, Caridad and Carmen Celestina.  He died at the age of 85 on May 26th, 1997 in Valle de Guanape.
