Myra was born in February 1925.  Myra's father was George McLeod Polson and her mother was Emily Alice Jarman.  Her paternal grandparents were George McLeod Polson and Robertina Polson. She had four brothers and a sister, named James, Nesslea, Frank, Thomas and June.  She is the youngest of the six children.
