Donald was born on October 10th, 1870.  Donald's father was George McLeod Polson and his mother was Robertina Polson.  His paternal grandparents were Donald Polson and Barbara  MacLeod. He had five brothers and three sisters, named George, William, Cecil, John, Alexander, Margaret, Jessie and Christina.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 59 on September 17th, 1930.
