Cecil was born on November 21st, 1878.  Cecil's father was George McLeod Polson and his mother was Robertina Polson.  His paternal grandparents were Donald Polson and Barbara  MacLeod. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Donald, George, William, John, Alexander, Margaret, Jessie and Christina.  He was the sixth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 39 on August 26th, 1918.
