John Cavasis was born on March 30th, 1852.  John Cavasis' father was Henry R. Sims and his mother was Abagail Atherton.  He had two brothers and four sisters, named William, Jacob, Jenny, Catherine, Margaret and Laura.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 88 on November 18th, 1940 in  .
