Charles A. was born in 1897.  Charles A.'s father was James Henry Kingery and his mother was Minnie Mae Hopkins.  His paternal grandparents were Daniel Kingery and Nancy Himelick; his maternal grandparents were Daniel A. Hopkins and Josephine Hopkins.  He had two brothers and a sister, named James E., Alonzo F. and Laura.  He is the second oldest of the four children.
