Sarah Jane Petty

Sarah Jane was born in 1851 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England.¹ Sarah Jane's father was John Petyt and her mother was Margaret Fawcett. Her paternal grandparents were John Pettyt and Grace Holmes. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Thomas Lupton, John, William, Jonathan James, Stephen Edward, Charles Henry, Grace Helen, Hannah, Margaret Elizabeth and Mary Ann. She was the seventh oldest of the eleven children.
