George Petty

George was born in 1890 in Shipley, Yorkshire, England.¹ George's father was Charles Petty and his mother was Elizabeth Thackrah. His paternal grandparents were George Petty and Hannah Brewer. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Herbert, Willie, Sarah, Alice and Annie. He was the youngest of the six children.
