Annie Newiss

Annie was born in June 1887 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England.¹ Annie's father was James Newis and her mother was Ann Gill. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Newiss and Ann Hartley. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Frederick, James, Arthur Gill, Clara and Lillie. She was the fifth oldest of the seven children.
