Margret was born in 1853.  Margret's father was Samuel Laurence Walker and her mother was Mary Coull.  Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Walker and Mary Cobb; her maternal grandparents were Joesph Coull and Isabella Moffat?. She had a brother and three sisters, named Joseph, Isabella, Jane and Mary .  She was the oldest of the five children.
