Ebenezer was born in 1877 in Newhills Parish Aberdeen.  Ebenezer's father was James Bird and his mother was Margeret Davidson.  His paternal grandparents were George Bird and Helen Alexander; his maternal grandparents were John Davidson and Isabella Wilson. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Leslie, George, Robert, Margaret and Jeanie.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, TB, at the age of 13 on October 4th, 1890 in Aberdeen R I.
