Margaret was born on April 11th, 1931.  Margaret's father was William Dickson and her mother was Margaret Mathieson.  Her maternal grandparents were George Mathieson and Elizabeth McVie. She had two brothers and two sisters, named William, Thomas, Elizabeth and Heather.  She is the second oldest of the five children.
