Violet Betress was born in 1907 in Kilkenny Ireland.  Violet Betress' father was William George Stuart and her mother was May Jane Hawkins.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles James Stuart and Annie Miller; her maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Sam, Charles, Charles James, Hennie ( Bill), Bertie, Alexander Hawkins, Cissie, Carrie, May, Georgina Margaeret and Florrie.  She was the youngest of the twelve children.  She died from cancer at the age of 85 in 1992 in New Ross, Wexford, Ireland.
