Samuel Joseph (Sam) Stuart

Samuel Joseph, known as Sam, was born on June 8th, 1890 in New Ross, Kilkenny, Ireland. Sam's father was William George Stuart and his mother was May Jane Hawkins. His paternal grandparents were Charles James Stuart and Annie Miller; his maternal grandparents are <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Charles, Charles James, Hennie ( Bill), Bertie, Alexander Hawkins, Cissie, Carrie, May, Georgina Margaeret, Florrie and Violet Betress. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 91 on May 13th, 1982 in Grimsby Ontario, Canada.

General Notes
- Sam came to Canada after a family fight and settled in Maxville Ontario to work on a dairy farm until he could send for my gr grandmother who was Margaret Copeland
  They lived there for a time and then relocated to the Grimsby area where he was a manager on a large fruit farm for years and then worked in a basket factory until it burned down. He continued to help a local fruit farmer until just a couple years before his death.
