Harold was born on May 5th, 1927 in Toronto, Canada. Harold's father was Charles James Stuart and his mother was Violet Evelyne West. His paternal grandparents were William George Stuart and May Jane Hawkins; his maternal grandparents are William Henry West and Margaret Deacon. He had a brother and two sisters, named Leslie, Irene and Sheila. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died from cancer at the age of 71 on October 7th, 1998 in Toronto, Canada.
