Emily Servant

Emily was born on January 20th, 1852 in LEEDS West Yorkshire England. Emily's father was Joseph Servant and her mother is Mary Lancaster. Her paternal grandparents are Joseph Servant and Hannah Ellis; her maternal grandparents are Thomas Lancaster and Mary Wigglesworth. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Francis Joseph, Arthur Ernest , Frederick W and Catherine. She is the oldest of the five children.

General Notes
- In 1871 the family had a tutor, a governess a housemaid and a cook, and back in 1861, an aunt called Martha Bradley (b Leeds 1804), a proprietor of houses was also living with the family. I went back to 1841 to see what Joseph Servant was doing back then, and he himself appears to have been a tutor, to the family of William Osburn, a wine merchant
