Dorothea Mary ( Dorrie ) Land

Dorothea Mary, known as Dorrie , was born on April 2nd, 1886 in Halifax, Yorkshire, , England. Dorrie 's father was Col William Heny (Billy) Land and her mother was Kate Eliza Moore. Her paternal grandparents were William Charles Land and Mary Winteringham; her maternal grandparents are Frank Moore and Anne Midforth. She had a sister named Sybil . She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 87 on September 2nd, 1973 in Great Somerford, Wiltshire, , England.

General Notes
- Dorothea Mary Land is the daughter of William Henry Land and Kate Eliza Moore.1 She married Joseph Herbert Phillips, son of William Garside Phillips and Emma Grundy, in 1912.
  From 1912, her married name became Phillips.
  She is buried in the "Phillips" Family Vault at St Lawrence Church, Church End, Ansley. Near Nuneaton.
  
  Dorothea had numerous dogs mostly terriers. Their party trick was when invited by Dorothea " To show what the naughty ladies in Cairo do " they would all roll over on their backs and wave their legs in the air! I visited Oldbury many times in my youth
