Dorah was born in 1833 in Kilve.1   Dorah's father was Thomas  Webb and her mother was Mary Crane.  Her paternal grandparents were William  Webbe and Susanna  Piles; her maternal grandparents were Isaac Crane and Joan Rowe.  She was the fifth of ten children.  She had six brothers and three sisters, named John , William, George , Thomas, Barnett, Charles, Betsey, Laura  and Mary.
