Mary was born in 1765 in Llansannor.1   Mary's father was Morgan Richard and her mother was Jennet Jones.  Her paternal grandparents were Morgan Richard and Jane.  She was the second of six children.  She had three brothers and two sisters, named William, William, Watkin, Jennet and Margaret.
