Thomas was born in 1741 in Luxborough and was baptised there on May 29th, 1741.1   Thomas' father was Thomas Orchard and his mother was Mary Sully.  His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were James Sully and Mary Hill.  He was the fourth of nine children.  He had three brothers and five sisters, named William , William, John, Betty, Joan, Ann, Jane  and Christian .
