Betty was born in 1734 in Luxborough and was baptised there on January 12th, 1734.1   Betty's father was Thomas Orchard and her mother was Mary Sully.  Her paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were James Sully and Mary Hill.  She was the oldest of nine children.  She had four brothers and four sisters, named William , Thomas, William, John, Joan, Ann, Jane  and Christian .
