William  was born in 1785 in Llansannor and was baptised there on October 9th, 1785.1   William 's father was Hopkin John and his mother was Jennet Richard.  His paternal grandparents were Richard   John and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Morgan Richard and Jennet Jones.  He was the second of six children.  He had two brothers and three sisters, named John, Richard, Ann, Rebeckah and Jennet.
